Meet the Senior Management Team

Maryann Nelson, President and CEO
Maryann Nelson has been in banking over 30 years, working in the community bank setting since 1986. She has been a founding executive officer of three local community banks, including Eastside Commercial Bank in 2002. She prides herself on helping business owners and managers structure their banking relationships in a way that simplifies their lives and frees them up to focus on their own customers. Maryann was a member of Soroptimist International for thirteen years, holding all elected offices through her tenure. She served as President of the Puget Sound Chapter of the Bank Administration Institute, and is a new member of the Rotary Club of Seattle. Maryann attended Seattle University as an honors student, and received her MBA from the University of Washington.

Leroy Miller, Executive Vice President
With more than 35 years of banking experience, Leroy spent 17 years as a commercial lender and the last eight years with a community bank. He believes in responding quickly to each loan request, no matter the size, and in fostering lasting partnerships with every client. Leroy and his wife Judy have lived in east Bellevue for more than three decades. He is a board member and treasurer of Fred Lind Manor retirement home in Seattle and is a member of Kiwanis. He is a graduate of Washington State University with a degree in Business Administration.

Catherine Greene, Senior Vice President
Catherine Greene started in banking in 1977 and has a broad array of commercial banking experience across the Pacific Northwest. Catherine has managed loan production teams, spent 12 years in credit administration and managed two national portfolios for one of the largest financial institutions in the United States. After many years working for major commercial banks, Catherine helped start up a community bank in the Bellevue area, leaving there to join Eastside Commercial Bank in February of 2007. A past president of the Kirkland Arts Center Board of Directors, she has also been actively involved with CARE USA since 1995 raising funds in the areas of micro-lending and education for girls in developing countries and is a founding member of the Northwest Women’s Initiative for Education. Catherine has a Bachelors degree from Washington State University and received an MBA and a Masters in Education from Indiana University.

Debby McDaniel, Senior Vice President

Debby McDaniel has 14 years of banking experience in Washington State and most recently served for the last eight years as vice president and chief financial officer of NCW Community Bank in Wenatchee.  She was on the Dean’s list for 2 years while attending Cottey College in Nevada, MO.  Debby graduated from Kinman Business University and is presently enrolled at Phoenix University.  An active member of Kiwanis, Debby has joined Eastside Commercial Bank as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer.

Dean Knudtson, Senior Vice President

Dean first started in the banking industry in 1984, with Seattle Trust and Savings Bank, which was later acquired by KeyBank in 1987.  Specializing in the payment processing segment, he has held management positions with Western States Bankcard Association (founder of MasterCard), and NOVA Information Systems, Inc.  Working with business clients of various sizes, as well as numerous financial institutions, he has sat on numerous advisory boards.  His passions include boating, as well as involvement in the Washington State Foster Care system.  He is a strong advocate for adoption in the sate of Washington. Dean joins Eastside Commercial Bank to assist our clients with various deposit products and services.
